Blogging once a month is probably insufficient for a writer's blog, yet it seems to be all I can muster these days. I will continue to work on it.

In other news, I've recently been back on the rewrite wagon and I've made quite a bit of progress on getting Gwendamned in better shape. I hope to have this revision finished in the next couple of days and then, I will be passing it on to my grammar-nazi first readers, and then onto people who might be interested in publishing it.

It's been really good to get back into the novel, but rewriting can be such a frustrating process. Thank Gwen for Scrivener, the worlds greatest writing program, that makes organizing and rewriting a manuscript about a hundred times easier than it would be otherwise. Woot! If you're a writer and you don't have Scrivener yet, go ahead and get it right now, it's the best $40 you'll ever spend.

Oddly enough, the biggest help in this whole rewriting process has been reorganizing the novel. The chunks that I've divided it into have given me a very solid place to start in terms of rewriting everything so that's made the whole process a lot more clear cut.

Outside of writing, it has been spring break this last week so the hubby and I went to visit a friend in Park City and go snowboarding for a few days. Good times were had by all. We stayed at a lovely B&B that I would recommend to anyone who wants to stay in that area and we got discounted lift tickets because our friend works at one of the resorts.

It was particularly exciting to discover that I can snowboard without giving my knee any trouble and to find out that having a board that's actually the right length ad is set up for a goofy footed boarder makes a huge difference. (The board I used in Japan was too short, and had bindings that were glued in place and set up for someone with a regular stance, but it was free, so I didn't complain.)

School starts back up on Tuesday and in the meantime I'm going to try to finish this rewrite and get all my necessary planning done so I'd better get back to it.
